- I've been working insane hours at the United Center for set up and tear down of the NCAA rounds 2 & 3 of the tourney

Selection Sunday: Office Edition
I thought today would be a good day to point out a few items from my Annex Cubicle. Here goes:
- A The C-Money sign comes from a previous nick name I had when my last name used to (maiden name people) contain something that sounded like "Bank". Some where came out C-Money-in-da-Bank. The guys at work thought it was funny (mostly stupid though).
- B That's my "It's Bulldog Tourney Time" printable sign from last year's winning season. Below it is my "Go Dawgs, Final Four Back Home To Indy" 2011 printable sign, and to the right of it is the Indy Star, Nike Published "I AM A DOG." Love love love it because, well I will forever be a dog.
- C My favorite Banana Republic 3 quarter sleeve rain coat. Bring on the spring showers!
- D the Butler Men's Basketball schedule (which will become a place holder until next seasons schedule is published)
- E Matt Howard - NCAA Division I Academic All-American of the Year - booyah
- F As the only girl sitting in the Annex, I recently felt the need for some privacy. I took an old Kill Bill promo sign and created a wall. As no other girls come back to the Annex, it is a "Girl Only" zone. Side note, I have charged the men in my department with taking this wall and creating saloon doors. Too radical for the work place? nahhh
Oops I almost forgot my favorite work accessory, I mean who doesn't love the light sabers?!

Final Four, 1st Stop BU!
The hubs, Minne and I drove back down to Indiana Thursday post work. I say back because we were just there the weekend before, I spoke about it here.
We woke up early Friday and the hubs, my big sis (in law) and I headed to Indy to meet my girlfriend and her new beau! I just realized I didn't get any photo of this occurrence which instantly made me super sad ::sigh::
After some yummy coffee at Starbucks, the hubs, his sister and I made our way to Butler University. I should add, my hubs went to Purdue and his sister to Indiana University, so we are Team Indiana School all the way. Our first stop once we arrived on campus was to visit the Butler Bookstore. Licencing for Butler gear is strict so finding items to suit our needs could only be done here. We did quite a bit of shopping as you can see here (you would be amazed at how many items can fit into each of those big bags):
Outside of the Bookstore was an awesome good luck banner for the Bulldogs, I had to sign it:
Right after we saw the banner we notice a boy setting up a table with lots of Bulldogs "decorated" and some plain. I asked what they were doing and he said that they were in a business class working on a business project. I looked at the hubs and said, can we buy one? His response was that we just spent lots of money in the bookstore so did we really need a stuffed animal. I obviously said yes, so we ended up with BlueGirl:
The last time the big sis was on campus, she recalled the star fountain, so we made a quick stop there. To our surprise we saw that all the fountains were filled with blue water! It was fun till the wind kicked in and the hubs and I got sprayed, hence the super goofy photo. When we brought Minne girl down, all she cared about was the food she could smell from Atherton, hahaha:
The next stop at Butler was a "Butler Have To Do" we made our way to the bulldog statue in front of Atherton to get some photos. Minne girl didn't make the trip down with us Thursday, but over the course of the weekend she got her photo op too:
From here, we crossed the street over to the Kappa house, since my sis in law was a Kappa at IU, it was only fitting to check out the Butler chapter. She immediately fell in love with the Kappa Bulldog outside the house:
While we were at Butler with Minne, we went to try to get a photo with one of the custom bricks that Butler sold when they did the construction on the new rec center.My awesome parents got me one as part of my graduation gift, cool right? Unfortunately, it started pouring so we didn't get the brick photo and Minne didn't have many photo ops on campus. However, she loved looking out the window as we drove into campus, especially at the TKE house. It must have been those loud boys hahah

Real anxious
I am writing this post a few days early. I know that a few minutes before game time my nervousness for tonight's game will be multiplied to the max. If tonight's game is anything like the games from the Elite 8 and the Sweet 16, I am guessing my stomache will be in knots, my limbs will be jittery, I may be struggling to keep myself from getting physically sick and my eyes will be watering with a mix of excitement and sickness all at the same time. I can only imagine how the players are handling the pressure of their first ever Final Four in their home city. If you're a friend of mine, please be a friend of the dawgs and send all your good luck wishes to their hometown, Indianapolis.

Elite 8 Weekend Summary
As I talked about here, we had a very hectic weekend that happened to fall over Butler's first appearance in an Elite 8.
Our week started with a drive to Elwood with a determination to get to get to the hubs parent's house prior to the Purdue vs Duke tip off. The drive looked like this, full of semis:
Because of all the semis & Chicago traffic I ended up having a very impatient husband and doggie:
When we arrived to Elwood, Minne and her cousin Buddy celebrated while mom and dd ate Pizza King Pizza. Minne continued celebrating the dawgs well through Sunday.
Saturday looked like this:
Lunch and Play date with the Lozers. Landon got to do some of his favorite things including, lunch at 5 Guys, a morning full of boys, some basketball and LEGOS
From there, I made my way to Laura's house for a nice little bridal shower. I can only imagine Minne's jealousy over Laura's Bullies toys:
The shower was beautiful. Jessica helped to host it and definitely used her expertise to help make the shower a success. Case in point, check out these bad boys:
Check out the beautiful bride too, ok ok the photo isn't great but still, couldn't she be a model?
We then headed over to our friend JDs house to drink some Blue Moon (Blue like Bulldawgs) and watch Butler take on K State. Good times were had by all, there was lots of screaming, gaging, crying, yelling...ect by all, I mean me. We didn't take any photos but here's what it looked like:
From there we went to dinner with some of the hubs close friends. Dinner itself was blah but the company was fabuslous. We even got to meet Mr Baby L. I think the hubs was smitten:
Landon especially liked when little "L" passed some gas:
After dinner we drove to Hinkle and waited for 3 hours for the Butler team to arrive back from Salt Lake City. (Had we still been in college we would have had more Butler friends in town to do some celebrating with, unfortunately it was just the hubs and I but it still rocked)
We waited in the cold, we waited in the rain, we waited while college kids passed out, but we waited for the one and only Bulldawgs. So worth it. Best part? Seeing how humble the guys were when they got off the buses? perhaps. Seeing Bobby Fong completely disoriented? perhaps. See Blue II. perhaps. What was really the coolest was surprising one of my BFFs. I think her hat shows it all:
After a long weekend for us, we drove home on Sunday. It didn't even take 2 minutes into the drive till Minne was asleep. I think the hubs and I both felt like she did.

And then there were 4!
And guess what, Butler is one of them! We had a fabulous weekend in Indiana, with lots of time spent in the home city of the Butler Bulldawgs and the 2010 Final Four, Indianapolis. I have so many thoughts running through my head and am not 100% sure how to articulate it so here is my best attempt:

JayZ & Butler Bulldawgs?!
Yup that's what type of Thursday I am having JayZ & the Bulldawgs! I'll be spending most of my day working but I am hoping to take a little break to peak up at the Butler vs UTEP game from time to time. That's one huge plus to having a TV in your office (woot woot - you can read about my love for the Dawgs by clicking here)!
I'll be staying at work late to work on some DM efforts for the Jay-Z Concert with special guests Young Jeezy and Trey Songz. Should be a fun filled day ahead! Best part? I have tomorrow off so that I can fully enjoy the March Madness, what can I say I love this time of year!

Go Bulldawgs!
It's no secret, I loved my entire college experience. There are so many reasons why and I hope that over time I get to touch on some of them, but today brings me back to my freshman year of college. My roommate from freshman year had a cousin who played on our basketball team and from day one of our Butler experience we got to know some of the players pretty well. Naturally, we had an interest in the team and we surrounded ourself with others who had similiar interests.
Our freshman year, my friends and I got to experience a true March Madness watching our dogs make it to the Sweet 16 while watching Archey set an NCAA Division I record for consecutive free throws made. That year we rushed the streets a couple times with excitement, screaming for joy, all high fiving and perhaps there may have even been some fist pumping. It's true, it was such a rush and an experience that I hope I never forget.
Today, I can say that majority of my good friends all support the Bulldawgs. Some now have Bulldawg rooms in their houses, others make it to every game, in fact one even married one of the assistant coaches.
So tonight, I will be joining my old roommate to watch our Dawgs play ball like the good ole days wishing that all of the girls could be by my side.
PS I apologize for such fuzzy photos, apparently back in the day we didn't have digitals so we used to have to get the photos developed and then scan them into the computer. WOW that was a lot of work!
